Scottie Bookends

Undying Loyalty

Scottish Terriers were an especially popular breed of dog to own when Monopoly was first created in the 1930s. Thus, the reason the Scottie is featured as a token in the classic board game. It remains one of the most favorite tokens for players today.

This pair of Scottish Terriers have a mischievous look on their faces. They are sticking their tongue out as if to say "Don't read, play with ME."  Known for their feisty nature, playful tendencies, and undying owner loyalty these bookends would be a great gift for dog lovers and book lovers alike. They are hand carved out of wood.

Dog Painting

Lord, help me be the person my dog thinks I am. Dogs love unconditionally and ask nothing in return (except for the occasional belly rub and game of fetch.) They are pack animals and get lonely if not around their other "canine friends." This painting is touching for anyone that has ever experienced the love of a furry creature because it shows the pure dedication of a dog to its owner. The dark chocolate dog is sitting at its master's feet, protecting and perfecting the art of being ridiculously cute.

He has his own personality. He gets moody. Sometimes he is mischievous. But mostly he is a deep soul.

Thomasville Vanity Stool

Very Vintage, Very Velvety

Luxury begins with comfort. Life is too short to put your makeup on standing up. Some people meditate in the morning, others do yoga. You happen to do your own form of relaxation in the morning. You wake up twenty minutes early when everyone else in the house is sound asleep. That is the only time of the day you have completely to yourself. You breathe the steam of your coffee in very slowly. You love the way your angled blush brush feels gliding across your eyelids and the sweet scent of your moisturizer.

This vintage vanity bench is velvet and has been detailed with brass medallions. Doubles as extra seating for guests during the holidays.

Made by Thomsaville Furniture Industries in the USA.

Drexel Credenza

Fall Into Fall

This vintage Drexel Credenza is the color of butternut squash. While you are nestling nicely in to autumn, thoughts of your family, the holidays, and hot soup put a smile on your face. This credenza would be a great addition to your dining room at a time when extra serving space is essential.

It is your turn to host Thanksgiving Dinner. Although you are technically old enough to prepare such an extravagant meal, you still feel like you belong at the kid's table sneaking dollops of whipped cream. Make the buffet line more efficient with additional counter space.

The credenza includes three cupboards and four drawers. Would work well in a dining room or even an office.

Polly Want a Cracker?

Parrots are one of the most intelligent birds. Besides their remarkable ability to mimic a human's voice, parrots are known for their colorful feathers. Add a touch of tropical flare to your home without leaving the comfort of your city.

Instead of being composed of an array vibrant colors, this perched parrot is solid brass. This bird's lack of color lets us admire the elegant shape of the bird.

Sunflower Vanity Mirror

Thou Shalt Not Take the Sunflower's Name in Vain

Before the sunflower seed was a staple for truck drivers and baseball fans alike, the sunflower was known as the symbol for the solar deity by Indigenous Americans. European explorers were fascinated by these yellow beauties and took gold images and seeds back to Spain in the early 16th century.

This gilded metal vanity mirror was handcrafted in Spain. It would look lovely sitting on a vanity or in a little girl's room.

Multi Color Abstract

You Must Be Trippin'

To think, you were waiting your entire youth until the day you were considered a grown up.  You equated adulthood with freedom. Now that you're here, you feel anything but free. Bills and laundry and deadlines. Can't you just return to a simpler time when your mind had unlimited expanse? The end of your fingertips were not the end of your reach. A time when melting popsicles, liquifying crayons, and dripping skittles were your biggest obstacles?

This painting is a reminder of that simpler time. Take a trip down memory lane to your colorful youth while staring at this trippy abstract.

Owl Art

Powers of Prophecy

Perch this perched owl in a newborn’s room. The retro owl is a trendy choice for decorating a baby’s room because of its gender neutrality and its unique symbolism. Owls represent wisdom and helpfulness and have powers of prophecy, much like mothers near and far.

This black and white art piece would fit in well with many color schemes. Original print from the artist Jette Clark, completed in 1971. Includes the chrome frame and gray mat board.

Hummingbird Bookends

Nectar, anyone?

Hummingbirds are celebrated throughout history for their vim an vigor and their propensity to do work at a fast rate. What a great reminder to slow down and read a soothing novel at the end of a busy day. Even hummingbirds have to rest and enjoy a sweet treat (nectar, anyone?) from time to time.  Let your shoulders relax as you put your feet up and plunge into a novel beak first.

These hummingbird bookends are metal and have a gold finish and were made in the USA.

Set of Brass Cranes

Speculative Craning

This pair of cranes are two peas in a pod, both speculating if their surroundings are safe. One of the cranes has its neck stretched out. The other crane spotted something in the water, his neck bent downward and his wings stretched out. Neither wants to appear vulnerable in case they are being watched by a hungry crocodile.

These brass cranes would be a great mantle topper or side table accent. Both cranes are made of brass and sit atop a brass base for support.
