Scottish Terriers were an especially popular breed of dog to own when Monopoly was first created in the 1930s. Thus, the reason the Scottie is featured as a token in the classic board game. It remains one of the most favorite tokens for players today.

This pair of Scottish Terriers have a mischievous look on their faces.
