The color turquoise has been used throughout history as an aid to the healing process because of its natural calming effect. This is why doctors and nurses wear blue scrubs and also why the walls of hospitals are sometimes painted light blue. In holistic medicine, the color turquoise has been used to treat mania and hysteria.

This turquoise blue lamp sits on a wooden base. The warm brown flowers that are embossed all over the body of the lamp complement the cold blue. Lamp is both feminine and flirty.
