SOLD | Edgar Allan Poe-tree

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary.

This eery painting reminds one of the imaginative writings of Edgar Allan Poe. The landscape depicts wandering bats, tree branches that appear to be reaching out for help from the desolate moon and a thick fog that could be cut with a knife.

The yellow, gray, and green hues, suggest that the setting is at dusk. The painting is signed by the artist (although illegible) and dated 1971. Includes a black frame with gold detailing.
