This Wassily replica is an iconic chair with attitude. The first Wassily Chair was built in 1925 by Marcel Breuer. The design was inspired by the bent handle bars of Marcel's "Adler" Bicycle and consists of bent tubular steel chromed frame similar to that of the bicycle's flowing design.
This chair in industrial in appearance but was built for comfort. Sitting in the chair tilts your body backwards at an angle. The weight of the occupant is shared among the lower and upper back-straps as well as the tension suspended seat platform. The tension created by the various suspended leather platforms holds the seated form of your body to the structure of your chair.
