Lake Painting

Summers at the lake house were always your favorite memory of growing up. Sometimes your parents let you take your best friend, other summers you were free to spend days in the hammock reading and rereading "Are You There God, It's Me Margaret." No matter what, you always had the best time. You can still smell the crisp air and feel the soreness in your stick thin arms after a day of canoeing. The colors in this painting are so vibrant. The sun is setting on the lake and casting a glow on everything below. Painting includes frame and is signed by the artist, Marie Crawford. Marie Crawford was a Los Angeles resident in 1937.
