1950s Japanese Miniature Screen

The 1950s were a period of major transition for Japan. The US, a former enemy, was starting to become an ally. Japanese people began adopting certain aspects of American culture such as hula-hooping, rock n' roll, and baseball.

This vintage miniature screen was hand crafted and hand painted in Japan in 1950.
