Bamboo does not only play an important role in ancient Chinese culture, it is often compared to the ideal behavior model of a modern gentleman. Bamboo has integrity, elegance, plainness, and tenacity. These are all characteristics Chinese people expect a typical gentleman to have.

This 70s wood lamp was hand carved to look like bamboo. The floor lamp is currently painted canary yellow but could easily be changed to match your interior.
